Katie Barlow Dance Projects, LLC is all about making a difference in a community and bringing people together for a greater purpose. Katie creates unique, large and small scale pieces, mainly site specific, combining both theatre and dance that enhance everyday life events. She finds a community, site, or structure that strikes her as being misunderstood, ignored, or that has played a significant role in her lifetime. She then finds the history behind it, the memories made, and discovers the perfect recipe needed to energize an area. Because KBDP loves to hype up communities, she also creates flash mobs! Here are some of the ways she makes things happen: College & University Events, Athletic Events, Business Openings and Product Launches, Weddings, Marriage Proposals, Birthday Parties and more!
I would also like to send a special thank you to the dancers for all their hard work, effort and huge amounts of positive energy throughout the entire process. You guys really made our special moment something to remember for a lifetime.

Congratulations! Best opening convocation I’ve been to, by far. Saving the dancing and the mascot until after the benediction was brilliant…
Alfred University Professorabout Alfred University Opening Convocation Flash Mob
Katie, your project was truly wonderful. You expressed beautifully a love of Alfred and of the people there. I get pretty sick of Alfred sometimes, and this made me realize how much I’ll miss it. Way to bring FAME to real life. I applaud you!!!

What a wonderful Epic Dance you created! What a marvelous experience it was for the audience and I’m sure was even more so for your dancers and you! I LOVED IT! Most of all, I watched, moved, and enjoyed. But, when I realized that I had been smiling for a full twenty minutes after the piece ended, I understood how the piece had touched me, and I think, all others there. What joy! What a celebration!
